WELCOME

Welcome to Swimming Bay of Plenty. Whether you’re a member of many years, or simply a visitor interested in taking up a new and exciting sport in your area – we are sure you will find what you are looking for.

Swimming can offer many things to many people, recreation, sport, enjoyment – but one thing is often overlooked, the need for swimming to be seen as a life skill.

In this day and age it is amazing that less than 25 per cent of our 12-year-olds can swim 200 metres. Worse still is the fact that every year more than 100 people drown in New Zealand, an island country where water sports are taken for granted. These are staggering statistics – but ones you can help change.

By enrolling yourself or your children in one of Swimming Bay of Plenty’s many clubs, you will get the hands-on experience and coaching you need to make you more confident in the water.

Or maybe you’re already confident and want to go from good to great – we can help you with that too. No matter what your age or goal, Swimming Bay of Plenty can help. From learn to swim skills to competitive sport – we are here to lend a hand.

So have a look around our website and if you have any questions just give us a call.
